See if you can get into the Hypogeum. You usually have to book in advance, but as there is only one of you, you might get lucky if you just turn up. If there is a vacancy in a viewing party, they will let you pay at the door. Sometimes people book then don't turn up. The Tarxian temples are close ny if you get blown out. And the nearby little town is pleasant. Can't remember its name.

Try and visit Hagar Qim around sunset. It's stunning. Be prepared for a little bit of an uphill walk back to the road, though.
Make sure you hop over to Gozo. See Gigantea. Then have lunch or supper at the Stone Crab in Xlendi. Crab ravioli. Very nice. Restaurant is in a nice little cove, waves lapping right at your feet.
You now have your orders.

Have a great time and be sure to try out the little chocolate balls you can get out there, they are very light honeycomb type centre and very tasty.

The big restaurant opposite the entrance to St John's Co Cathedral in Valletta does a blinding fish soup. It's on the menu as a starter, but it's enough for a main course. You can eat outside in the square. It's all very civilised and that.

I went to Malta on a work conference about 10 years ago.
AlI remember is that everything there was the same shade of sandy yellow, the buildings, the ground, the sky, food, everything.
Had the option of staying for the whole week but took the 'early bale' option when offered.
Sure it's lovely though..

Been accosted by a gregarious drunken WELSHMAN in the bar.
He's gone now.
He was alright actually. Quite an affable chap. A self employed electrician, he broke his foot whilst pissed at the works Christmas party and can't work till the end of January, sso at 2am this morning on a drunken whim, booked a flight to Thailand. Fair play.

Mdina is pretty. Can't remember the name of the cathedral in Mdina, but it has some beautiful art.
Speaking of art, St John's Co Cathedral in Valletta has a gorgeous Caravaggio.
